New UK–Nigeria Visa Changes: What HNWIs Need to Know
The February 2026 policy changes to UK visa applications for Nigerian passport holders introduce three material shifts that affect HNWIs and corporate travellers in particular.
First: priority and super-priority visa processing is now available at the Lagos and Abuja Visa Application Centres on a wider range of visa categories, including Standard Visitor visas with multi-entry coverage of up to 10 years.
Second: the documentary evidence threshold for Sponsored Visit and Business categories has tightened — applicants are now expected to show three months of business banking records (previously six weeks).
Third: a new optional biometrics-at-home service has launched for applicants with confirmed UK residency or property ownership. Worth £450 and well worth it if you travel monthly.
Our visa concierge service has been updated to reflect all three changes — book a 30-minute review with your travel manager before your next application.
